Welcome to Chinatown! Interactive Entrepreneurship Workbook
Chinatowns were a business and cultural hub for many Asian immigrants in the mid-1800s! Many flocked here to start businesses and make a better life for themselves and their families! Chinatowns were once all around the United States, but many have disappeared over time.
Although little is known about original Chinatowns, this activities will be sure to shed some light on it!
This activity book covers the history of Chinatowns (without sharing too much graphic content), what could be found there, and what changes have been made throughout history! It gives a tasteful, yet honest, account of the success of these communities, all appropriate for young children!
Included in this activity book is:
- History of Chinatowns
- Navigating through San Francisco's Chinatown Map Activity
- "What is entrepreneurship?" Info 1-pager
- Starting your own Business Activity - Brainstorming space and business registration form
- Brief, high-level overview of diminishing Chinatowns and more!
Your child is bound to learn a ton! Not only will they learn about what Chinatowns are all about -- they'll also learn how to navigate a map using a compass and entrepreneurship!
This is also a great tool for early reading comprehension! Encourage your child to read through the passages and ask questions along the way!
